All the latest super-deformed Star Trek toys

The trend in super-deformed cartoon/caricature style toys shows now signs of slowing down, and in just the past few months the world of Star Trek toys has seen many new examples. Continue below to check out all the latest releases.

Just out from Funko, is the first Star Trek figure in their new Dorbz line. Like the long established Pop! vinyl range, Dorbz have a particular style that is used across the various licensees Funko have. This first beaming Spock figure is exclusive to GameStop, although I'm sure it's just a matter of time until a regular Spock comes along as part of a larger Star Trek Dorbz collection.

Super cute Pin Mates bridge playset

At the San Diego Comic Con the Entertainment Earth booth had plenty of Star Trek stuff on display, including one of the most charming and adorable Trek toys in an age: The delightful Pin Mates bridge playset. Designed for play and display with the tiny wooden peg renditions of the TOS crew recently released by Bif Bang Pow, the playset appears to come with three extra Pin Mates, which add Nurse Chapel to the crew, alongside a wrap-uniform variant of Captain Kirk, and Spock equipped with a painted on tricorder.

The Entire bridge has been recreated, with the front portion removable so you can look into the bridge from the front as well as above. In the Comic Con display the two sections were stacked on top of each other.

Latest Star Trek figures: Retro cloth, Femme Fatales, Mystery Minis, Bobble-heads and more

A round up of the latest Star Trek action figures and figurines for you today, including TOS and TNG characters in quite a variety of styles.

First up, a new twist on a classic, in the latest retro cloth figures from Diamond Select Toys. After recreating the classic Mego figures a few years ago, and adding a few new characters while they were at it, DST are currently in the midst of reissuing the range in time for the anniversary year. But they're also expanding it once more! Due to arrive in May, the latest pair of figures will be a Cheron, and a red shirt. Now we've had a Cheron figure before, but this time they're switching the black and white sides, so you can complete your recreation of Let That Be Your Last Battlefield, with Lokai to pair with the previously release Bele. The new generic security man has a twist too, as there will be two variants on offer, with either brown or black hair, and one with officer rank stripes.

Bif Bang Pow's latest bobble heads and more

Bif Bang Pow revealed several new Star Trek toys in displays at the San Diego Comic Con, including new characters in their ever expanding range of Star Trek bobble heads. Following on from the range of TNG characters that built a bridge, there will be two characters to populate Ten Forward, the unlikely pairing of Q and Guinan. A more common pairing comes from the latest renditions of Kirk and Spock, this time bobbling their way through the kal-if-fee. And finally there will be another Spock, this time in his The Voyage Home robes, and this one will also have a sound feature. As yet there are no release dates for any of these new designs.

There will be Star Trek variants of all the The Big Bang Theory characters in Bif Bang Pow's range of three and three-quarter inch action figures (which should nicely complement the actual Star Trek characters in the range of similar figures from Funko). Bif Bang Pow had all these on show among the regular versions of the characters, check them out after the jump:

Wobbling whales with a spring in their tails

Entertainment Earth have revealed the first of their 2015 San Diego Comic Con exclusives, and they're going to make sure trekkies have a whale of a time, with the new George and Gracie bobble-heads - Or more accurately, bobble-tails. Recreating the scene from The Voyage Home, the pair of humpback whales are joined by a little swimming Spock too. These will be available in a rather curious edition of one-thousand-nine-hundred-and-ninety-eight, and as is always the case with Entertainment Earth's Comic Con exclusives, while they will be available first at the event, in July, any remaining will be dispatched to those who order online.

In other wobbly news, Bif Bang Pow also have a TOS phaser on the way, joining their smaller scale Monitor Mate range of bobbling things. You can check that out after the jump, and will be able to get one yourself, from Entertainment Earth, in August.

New Star Trek action figures from QMx, Funko, and Bif Bang Pow

At the Toy Fair over the weekend several companies were showing off new Star Trek action figures, continue below to check out the latest TNG, TOS, and The Big Bang Theory crossover releases.

The most impressive of the newly revealed characters comes from QMx, who have turned always sharp eye for detail to Captain Picard, to make a new one-sixth scale (about thirty centimeters tall) articulated action figure. This release is comparable to the Malcolm Reynolds (from Firefly) figure already available to pre-order form QMx, which itself features no less than thirty-eight points of articulation. Like Reynolds, Picard has an unnervingly realistic head, and highly detailed fabric uniform, plus a phaser rifle. Images via Toy Ark.

Some new Star Trek figures, mostly Klingons, to look at here.

First up, Entertainment Earth have added another Bif Bang Pow bobble-head to their catalogue, the Klingon Kruge, from The Search For Spock, which is due out this month along-side the new TOS-movie-era crew bobble-heads:

Meanwhile it appears Funko are at work on a new range of TNG characters for their Pop! vinyl range of figures. PopVinyl.net have posted images of prototypes of Deanna Troi, and two versions of Worf, in either Starfleet or Klingon uniforms:

When these are released, they will join the existing TOS and The Big Bang Theory Star Trek Pop! vinyl figures.

Latest figures: Worf and his wobbling friends

Diamond Select Toys' fourth Star Trek Select action figure, Worf, who was recently previewed at the New York Comic Con, is now available for pre-order on Entertainment Earth, who anticipate he will be arriving in April. The description of the figure states that it "includes a diorama base compatible with the previous Star Trek Select release", although what is shown in the new image is a rather different base design than the Borg decking included with Picard, with a large wall with a Klingon emblem on. Worf will also features several different arms and weapons to allow different action poses, and even two different hair styles!

Entertainment Earth have also recently added listing for more bobble-heads from Bif Bang Pow, continue after the jump for a look at those:

The Big Bang Theory goes retro

For last year or so, there has been a growing range of co-branded Star Trek and the The Big Bang Theory merchandise, including clothing, apparel, and toys. The latest entry into this collection comes from Bif Bang Pow, in the form of Mego-style retro action figures of all the main Big Bang Theory characters, in TOS Starfleet uniforms - There have been several other toy versions of the Big Bang guys presented Star Trek style, but this is the first time the female characters have been included.

This new series casts Leonard as Captain Kirk, and Sheldon as Spock (complete with very pointy ears). The science department is filled out by Amy and Bernadette, while operations is manned by Penny, Raj, and Howard. I raise a quizzical Spock-like eyebrow at the ranks here, as all the female characters are at least a rank below the males!

Entertainment Earth have all seven available for pre-order, and anticipate an October release. They are limited to the rather curious figure of six-hundred-and-two of each character. Continue after the jump below to see the full range.

New TOS and TNG character and ship bobble-heads

Earlier this year Bif Bang Pow released a three bobble-heads based on The Wrath of Khan (Kirk, Spock, and Khan), and now they're returning to the TOS movie era with three more characters, Scotty, Sulu, and Chekov. Entertainment Earth have recently added listing for these, anticipating a November release.

At the Toy Fair earlier in the year, Bif Bang Pow also displayed McCoy, Uhura, and Kruge bobble-heads, so presumably there will be more to come in the movie-era range.

Meanwhile they are busy bobbling in other eras, continue after the jump for their latest TNG and ship releases:

Figures: Funko gets a goatee, and elementary bobble-heads

It appears Funko will be expanding their Star Trek Pop! vinyl range, by one at the very least: Entertainment Earth have added a listing for a mirror universe Spock figure, which is due this September as a Previews exclusive:

This new Spock follow's last year's release of six TOS figures (including a regular Spock), and four The Big Bang Theory crossover designs. No news yet whether there will be any other new Trek characters this year.

There is an update for another stylised Trek figurine though: Entertainment Earth have also posted a video preview of the Comic Con exclusive Sherlock Holmes themed Data and Geordi bobble-head two-pack:

Locutus bobble-head

Entertainment Earth and Bif Bang Pow have announced another San Diego Comic Con exclusive bobble-head, Locutus of Borg. As with their other exclusives, this assimilated Picard will be available first at Comic Con, but Entertainment Earth are also taking pre-orders, so those not attending have a chance to get any left over bobble-heads, which will be shipped after the event.

You can get a closer look in this video Entertainment Earth posted:

Locutus is the third exclusive bobble-heading announced for Comic Con, joining Seven of Nine in a red dress, and Holmesian versions of Date and Geordi. Continue after the jump for a reminder of those other releases:

Latest Star Trek figures

Some figures news here, starting with another San Diego Comic Con exclusive bobble head from Bif Bang Pow. Joining the previously announced Data/Geordi Holmesian two-pack, there will also be a Seven of Nine bobble head, depicting her in the red dress seen in the episode Human Error.

Back at Toy Fair, Bif Bang Pow did announce they plan to release a more typically attired Seven of Nine, but that hasn't reached market yet, so this will be their first Voyager release. Entertainment Earth are taking pre-orders, if Seven doesn't sell out then any remaining stock will be shipped after Comic Con (which is later this month).

Coming later in the year will be the first Star Trek release from a new Trek licensee, The Wonderland Toy Company. Wonderland have several different ranges, and their first Star Trek release will be part of their Big Talker line, which are large (seventeen inch) action figures with sound features playing memorable lines.  Due out in November, according to Things From Another World, will be the latest in the Star Trek/The Big Bang Theory cobranded range, a Big Talker version of Sheldon Cooper, dressed as Spock. Wonderland posted the following image on their website:

Finally, and most immediately available, Cubify have launched a new customisable 3D-printed figurine, the Star Trek Mini. Like their previous TOS and TNG uniform figurines, you are able to have your face added by uploading a photo, but for these new smaller figurines (two inches tall) the body is based on a template, with you being able to turn yourself into either Spock or Uhura. Continue after the jump for a video showing how is works:

Latest Star Trek stuff around the home

Time for another round up of the latest Star Trek ornaments and gadgets for use around the home. First up, Hallmark have added a fourth Christmas tree decoration to their Star Trek Keepsakes range this year. Available exclusively at Hallmark stores at the launch of this years range in July, will be a Vina figurine.

Joining Vina will be the USS Vengeance, Mr Sulu, and Spock with the Horta. You can get a good look at the others, in my previous report.

Another limited release will be coming from Bif Bang Pow, as a San Diego Comic Con exclusive. This year they will have a second set of coasters, based on Juan Ortiz's TOS retro print series. This follows the first set released at last year's Con. To face off against last year's Enterprise box, this new set comes with a Klingon D7 design.

While these are a Comic Con exclusive, Entertainment Earth are also taking pre-orders, to nab any that are left over after the event in July.
