Discovery: The Light of Kahless #2 preview
Out this week is the issue two of the first Star Trek: Discovery comic series, The Light of Kahless. Picking up a few years after the previous issue, the book continues to dig deep into the history of the Klingon messiah, T'Kuvma.
The book is written by Kirsten Beyer and Mike Johnson, with art from Tony Shasteen, who also provides the A cover featuring Voq. Three other covers are available, with the B cover being a photo of L'Rel. The remaining covers are retail incentive, with tattoo-esque T'Kuvma design by Aaron Harvey, and the second of Declan Shavley, and Jordie Bellaire (colours)'s ship covers for the series, this time featuring the most appropriate ship to adorn this Klingon series, the Sarcophagus ship.
You can check out all the covers and a five page preview from this issue below, plus a couple of other bits of new from the series.

Discovery ships come to Star Trek Online
Star Trek Online introduced uniforms from Star Trek Discovery to the game as soon as the series began, but players have had to wait until now to enjoy the first new ships becoming playable. Available from today, the Discovery Lock Box introduces several key ships from the series, plus some new costumes and equipment. Continue below for the details.
The top prize for Federation players from this lock box is the Crossfield class (USS Discovery), which STO has designated a "science vanguard".

Ship bits: DST Reliant, Eaglemoss concept Enterprise-C, and Moebius Franklin
I've got a few different starship models updates today, including new images of Eaglemoss' concept art Enterprise-C, and an update on Moebius Models' USS Franklin.
But first, something we've been waiting for a long time... We have our first look at Diamond Select Toys' next Starships Legends release, the USS Reliant.
The Reliant is the next ship in DST's range of models with lights and sounds, and was announced almost two years ago now. Since then we've not had so much as a tease, and we still don't know when it's actually coming! This image is a "resin prototype" (which doesn't fill one with hope at an imminent release!), and was revealed by the Facebook page of The Toys That Made Us, a new Netflix documentary series about toys, which has a Star Trek episode coming up later in the year.

Voyager: Architects of Infinity cover, and other new Trek-novel covers
With a thin release schedule of Star Trek novels this year (due to a still pending license renewal), there aren't so many book cover reveals lately. So this should be exciting day! Simon and Schuster have now released the cover for the next book in Kirsten Beyer's Voyager relaunch series, Architects of Infinity. The cover features Voyager and a Vesta class ship (presumably the USS Vesta) both firing off phasers and torpedoes!

2019 Star Trek calendar range revealed
Universe Publishing have revealed their line-up of Star Trek calendars for 2019, which features six different designs, continuing every format they offered for this year. Continue below to check out what is on offer.
Now one should note off the bat, that these are very early listings, and the artwork for at least some of them will certainly change before their release later in the year.
That could not be more true than for the Ships of the Line calendar. The latest in the long-running series, this calendar will feature loads of brand-new starship artwork, in panoramic format - For now though the interior previews are re-using images from this year's edition to illustrate the style. The cover image currently in use, featuring a visit from the Enterprise-E to the new Deep Space 9, doesn't seem familiar to me though, but lacking a spacey background I suspect it is also a stand-in.

Round 2 Models: New Oberth class, Klingon BoP, and Defiant, plus recent reissues
Round 2 Models are keeping themselves busy in the Star Trek universe lately, with several new model kits on the way, and a run recent reissues. Continue below to catch up with all their latest kits.
Tantalisingly, in a recent blog post they mentioned they are "working on another brand-new kit. It will be big, and probably unexpected" which they expect to release in August. But they're not ready to tell us what it is just yet. They have however announced something smaller already.
On the way is what I believe is the first ever kit of the Oberth class USS Grissom. They are releasing it at 1:1000 scale, in a two-pack of snap-kits with a Klingon Bird of Prey, which is also a new kit.
They have posted photos of mock-ups of both models on their blog, here are a few of those images, but there are many more on the original post, where you can also read about tweaks they will be making to these before the final release.

Review: Discovery #9 - Into the Forest I Go
Ready for the start of Discovery's second chapter, I sat down to rewatch the last episode, Into the Forest I Go, and finally reflect on what was a really outstanding episode!
This one had so much going on, with one of the best space battles in Star Trek history, exploration of subjects that, though they shouldn't be, are still pretty edgy and not well explored in TV, and a beautiful symmetry to Burnham's arc that would have made this a pretty satisfying season finale had the series been shorter. Continue below for my thoughts on all those points and more.

Discovery 1x10: Despite Yourself previews
The second chapter of the first season of Discovery is just hours away, and so naturally CBS have been teasing us with a new clip, images, and more, of episode ten, Despite Yourself. Plus we've got a few hints for the rest of the season, and the second season too!
But first, on Facebook they released a short video which features both a behind the scenes segment and clip from the show (but alas it's region locked so only viewable to those in the US, but...) Here's the clip segment (handily uploaded to Youtube by TrekSpace), with a surprise attack on the Discovery!:

First twelve Eaglemoss Discovery ships revealed
Hot on the heels of new images of the first two models in Eaglemoss' Discovery Starships Collection, StarTrek.com have new released images of the first twelve ships due to feature in the model and magazine series, which should take us all the way through this year.
There's an almost even split of Starfleet and Klingon designs on the way, with the first three releases all being Starfleet, so they take slightly more slots. There's no running order yet for the rest of the series, but I would anticipate them doing what the original Starships Collection normally does, which is alternating between Starfleet and alien designs.
These new images also give us the best look yet at many of the new Discovery designs, especially the impressively diverse range of Klingon ships. Continue below to check them out:

Boldy Go: IDIC part 3 preview
IDW's latest new comic was issue fifteen of the Kelvin timeline Boldly Go series, which is also the third issue of the six part mega-multiverse crossover story, IDIC.
The revolving team of artists for this story this time brings us Tana Ford to illustrate the story by regular writer Mike Johnson.
The book is offered in four different covers, with the A cover by Tony Shasteen (coloured by J.D. Mettler) focusing on the android version of the Enterprise crew. Tony Shasteen brings use the regular crew on the B cover, which is part of December's run of Artist's Edition covers across several IDW titles (and consequently is not coloured). There are then two retail incentive covers, both featuring Sulu; one of which is a photo cover, and the other the latest variant cover in the series by Yoshi Yoshitani.
Continue below to check out all the covers, plus a five page preview from the book.
