It's a tough year, in recognition of this Icon Heroes have turned their facepalming busts into a series, with Commander Riker now joining Captain Picard (who himself just recently had a third edition release announced).
The new Commander Riker facepalming bust, based on a moment from the episode A Matter of Perspective, is 7.9 inches tall, and a limited edition of 1701. Made from polystone, and hand painted, this is officially not just a bust, but also a paperweight. It is also officially a San Diego Comic Con exclusive, but of course there is no SDCC this Covid infected year, so you'll just have to get one via Icon Heroes' website.

Facepalming Picard bust returns, and is now taller!
The Picard facepalming bust is back! Icon Heroes eternally frustrated polystone paperweight is reborn at a new larger 8 inch tall format (rather than 5.5 inches before). They've also adjusted to sculpt slightly, and painted the combadge on the base this time.
Picard is perhaps facepalming this time because this is nominally a San Diego Comic Con exclusive; but there is no San Diego Comic Con this year! Instead he'll be exclusively available via the distributors Previews, which means you'll be able to order him at most comic book and collectables shops, and some online retailers, such as Entertainment Earth.
This will be a limited edition of 1701. Continue below for lots more images.

Facepalming Picard bust returns, in bronze!
Last year Icon Heroes brought to life the popular Captain Picard facepalming meme in the form of a bust-paperweight. The ThinkGeek exclusive edition of 1602 life-like painted busts sold out in short order - But if you missed out, frustrated Picard is back, now offered in bronze, and there's 6000 of him this time!
Once again he's a ThinkGeek exclusive, and made from resin, with a bronze finish, including a patina highlighting the details. Available now, the bust is six inches tall. Icon Heroes have sent me a nice set of high res images, so continue below for a closer look:

Phaser-glow rock mood light, and other stuff to Trek out the house
I've got a round-up of some of the latest Star Trek stuff out there to Trek out your home or office, and we'll start with one of the weirdest Star Trek products to have found its way to market...
Taking inspiration from The Enemy Within, The Wand Company (who have previously brought us things like the bluetooth communicator, and universal remote phaser) have come up with the phaser-controlled rock mood light. Simulating Sulu's desperate attempts to stay warm, this is a glowing rock, controlled, by a phaser...
The rock faithfully recreates the scene; with the phaser blast "heating" it up to full brightness, which then gradually dims once you stop firing (it is only light that you'll get though, no heat from this rock). There's also an alternate "atmosphere mode" where the rock can gradually shift through different colours and brightness. The rock is USB chargeable, and to complete your landing party experience comes complete with a Starfleet survival blanket!

New Star Trek office products
Icon Heroes have announced a new range of Star Trek home and office ware. They have so far announced four products, with the promise of more to come. To start the range they have:
A Star Trek bookend set, which will be 6.5” tall, 7.25” wide, and 4” deep. Icon Heroes expect this to be out in the third quarter of this year for $70.
Also due in the third quarter, is the Spock hand business card holder. Icon Heroes' website currently has a listing for a bronze finish version of this, but StarTrek.com also report a realistic finish version will be available at some point too. These will be $35 each.
There's also a d'k tahg letter opener, which was based on scans from Gentle Giant of one of the original props. This one is also expected third quarter and will be $25 (if you can't wait that long, you could always try and get hold of one of ThinkGeek's mini Bat'leth letter openers).
Finally, and coming a bit later than the rest, not due until the fourth quarter, are TOS uniform inspired sticky note pads. No pricing for these yet.
Icon Heroes have announced these online, alongside the Toy Fair reveal of the line. So if you'd like to see a few more images, Toy Ark has good coverage of Icon Heroes' display.
