Things seem a bit thin on the ground merchandise wise for Star Trek Beyond, with quite limited offers of toys and books. There is some stuff starting to appear though, if you'd happy with a branded cup or T-shirt! Continue below for a look at some of the latest things to show up; be it weird, wonderful, or mundane!

Cinemas around the world are starting to stock up on Star Trek stuff, including the first model ships from the film! Available as cup toppers are a range of three small models of the new look USS Enterprise, the USS Franklin, and one of the swarm ships.

New soundtracks now available, and more on the way

The two recently announced soundtrack releases are now on sale. Mondo's vinyl version of the complete Wrath of Khan soundtrack, one of the most beautiful Star Trek products ever released, has gone live. This is a limited edition, although Mondo haven't said of how many; I'd snap one up while you can if you want one. They also posted the original interior art, from Matt Taylor, on Twitter, so you can see it without the fold line:

Meanwhile La La Land's Star Trek: The Next Generation Soundtrack Collection, Volume Two, is also available, and also a limited edition, this time of three-thousand units.

There is news of even more Star Trek soundtrack releases on the way! Posting on the Film Score Monthly Forums, founder Lukas Kendall confirmed not just the expected Voyager soundtrack collection, but also a 50th anniversary release, to feature fan requested tracks from multiple series:

Full details of Mondo's Wrath of Khan vinyl soundtrack

Mondo recently teased a new vinyl release of the The Wrath of Khan soundtrack, and now Birth Movies Death have revealed all the details of what is going to be one of the most beautiful Star Trek products ever released.

Of course there was a vinyl edition of the album version of James Horner's brilliant soundtrack alongside the release of the film in 1982, but this new two-disc version will be the first ever vinyl edition of the complete score, which was first issued on CD by Film Score Monthly in 2009.

What makes this really special though is the stunning presentation, with new artwork by Matt Taylor adorning every surface, plus the dazzling Mutara Nebula styled discs themselves. Here are the outer covers, featuring views of Ceti Alpha V:

New TNG soundtrack collection, plus Wrath of Khan vinyl

La La Land Records have announced the long awaited second volume of their Star Trek: The Next Generation soundtrack collection. The new three-disc release follows a similar arrangement to the volume one release (from way back in 2011!), with a wide variety of episodes featured, divided up by composer. Disc one features the work of Dennis McCarthy (plus the opening titles music), disc two is dedicated to Jay Chattaway, and disc three is nominally others, but is actually mostly McCarthy music again, save for one episode (six tracks) by George Romanis, and the closing title music. Continue below for a full track listing, and news of another new soundtrack release.

Mondo's new TOS episode posters

It's been a year and a half since Mondo last produced a Star Trek poster, but it will be worth the wait, as they're returning with two cracking new designs today. Both new designs are TOS episode posters. There's Arena, by Matt Taylor, which focuses on the Kirk/Gorn fight. The 20" x 36" print will be available in an edition of 175.

What Are Little Girls Made Of? meanwhile gives a whirlwind tour of the entire episode, in landscape format. The 24" x 18" print by Kevin Dart will also be available in an edition of 175, or a more limited Thai variant, of 85 prints.

Both posters will be available at a random time on Thursday 6th March. They normally sell out within a few minutes, so if you want either of them you'll need to watch Mondo's Twitter like a hawk for the on-sale announcement. You can see some closer details of both designs on Mondo's blog.

Mondo's Wrath of Khan

This week Mondo opened a new art gallery, and their first show is all sci-fi! Happily that included a new Mondo Star Trek poster, and their invitation to the opening gave some indication of what part of the Trekverse that might be based on:

Yup, Wrath of Khan, a new poster by Tyler Stout. An edition of 635 of the regular version, and 280 of a variant:

The show included some amazing posters for other films too; I'm especially taken by the War of the Worlds and Forbidden Planet ones (have a look after the jump):

What's black and white and red all over?

Mondo's latest Star Trek print is what. This time a poster by Tom Whalen for the TOS episode Let That be Your Last Battlefield. And for once I've posted this news before they go on sale, so if you keep an eye on Mondo's twitter account there's a teeny tint chance you might be one of the lucky 215 to grab one before they sell out (don’t fight for them now).

The poster goes on sale tomorrow (Thursday 2nd September) with a run of 220 standard prints and 80 with glow in the dark inks!!! Good luck getting a copy! io9's article also has a gallery with pretty decent resolution versions of the previous Mondo posters too, well worth a download for those of us who've not managed to purchase one of the elusive prints!

Licensing updates

As reported by TrekMovie, CBS announced a bunch of new and products at the Vagascon. They include:

A USS Enterprise pizza cutter, coming in the fall from ThinkGeek, with more products on the way

The next Mondo poster will feature the Borg Queen

QMx are working on making USS Kelvin salt and pepper shakers like those seen in the film!

StarTrek.com will be launching a Starfleet Academy bookstore, with branded products like those found in college shops.

And CBS are still considered if and how they might go about bringing TNG up to HD for bluray release, with the expectation that it will eventually happen.

Mondo prints

A print company called Mondo have launched a new licensing deal to produce Star Trek posters with a (super cool) Space Seed poster. This first Star Trek product from Mondo has already sold out, but was available as a standard screen printed poster with metallic inks, and as a more limited wood effect version.

Mondo's blog gives some incite into how the artist, Martin Ansin, designed the poster. Have a read.
