Amazon has posted new high quality images of the final of the four Fighter Pods Attack Pods, the "Star Surger". According to the packaging, and the Fighter Pods leaflet, this is meant to come with Spock as the set figure. But as you can see, it is packaged with a Klingon in the non-random figure area. The images of the Blade Blaster had the same oddity, with the Klingon it is meant to come with being swapped for Spock. The three randomly selected figures photographed with with particular version of the Star Surger are McCoy, another Klingon, and the alien called Dexter.
Having now seen Into Darkness, I can imagine a way in which these weirdly un-Trek-like Attack Pods could have been inspired by the film. It's a bit of a stretch though... See the rest of the range in my previous two reports.

New images and details of the Star Trek Fighter Pods range
Last week the first good images of the new Star Trek Fighter Pods toys started to appear. Now StarTrek.com and Toys'r'us have started to release more images, giving us a look at most of the rest of the line. John Tenuto also posted photos of the USS Enterprise set on Flickr, giving a good look at that set's features, as well as photographing a booklet detailing the entire range. Even if you're not that keen on the toys, this particular bit might interest you, as it names many of the nuTrek aliens for the first time (I've stuck John's photos together for ease of reference here):
This also reveals that the figurines in each set vary. Each attack pod comes with one set figure, and three randoms, the larger Enterprise set comes with six figurines all together, but two of those are random as well.
Here are the official images of the Fighter Pods USS Enterprise, which comes with an attack pod stowed in the engineering hull, and a bridge playset in the saucer section, which can comfortably accommodate the six figurines that come with it. Of those six, four will always be Kirk, Uhura, volcano Spock, and grey uniform McCoy. Pictured here are Brian and Dexter as the two mystery figurines:
I previously posted images of three of the four attack pod sets. There still don't seem to be images of the fourth. That just leaves the smaller figurines sets. There will be blind bags, each containing two figurines and two pods. The bags look like this:
There are also two larger blister pack sets which each have four figurines and two pods. I believe that again, three figurines in each of these sets will be random, with Kirk and Spock in each set being the only constants.
Pictures here in the Kirk set are Brian, Grasia, and Cask:
While with Spock are Uhura, Madeline, and Sprog:
There are thirty-six figurines in the series. If you got the Enterprise, all four attack pods, and the two-four packs, picking them so not to get duplicates, that would give you thirty - Leaving you just six characters to find either by careful selection of duplicate larger sets, or by living dangerously and seeking them out in the blind bags.

First look at Star Trek Fighter Pods
Listings for Star Trek Fighter Pods toys have started to appear on Amazon, giving us the first clear looks at the game and some of the new figurines. Each of the sets so far listed comes with this general description:
Here is the bright orange "Blade Blaster", which has a "photon ram" as its way of attacking. This comes with caricatured versions of: Spock, in a silver uniform possibly the new Starfleet wetsuit from Into Darkness; an Orion, that I presume to be Gaila, in her underwear; a Gorn, from Star Trek: The Video Game; and the multi-faced alien Quocch, from the deleted scenes of the first film, and the Nero comic series.
Next there's the "Phantom Striker", which attacks with "Pop-out combat fins". The figures in this pack are:Kirk and Sulu, both in grey uniforms which again look like the new wetsuits (but are darker than Spock's silver one above); a Klingon; and Keenser.
Finally, for now, is the "Ninja Star", with burst to life with the use of "snap-out battle blades". This one comes with: Two redshirts, which I guess might be Scotty and Chekov; a Klingon (same one as the above set); and Nero.
There will also be a fourth attack pod, called the "Star Surger". In addition to these, there will be a larger USS Enterprise set, which houses an addition attack pod in the engineering section, while the bridge opens to reveal a playset for the figurines. Amazon does have a listing for the Enterprise, but no images yet. On top of that there will be smaller sets with figurines, and the eponymous fighter pod balls that the game is based around. You can get an idea of the rest of the range from my previous coverage of the Toy Fair displays.
Prepare for an incredible journey through the deepest reaches of the known universe with the heroic crew of the Starship Enterprise. Captain Kirk leads his crew of intrepid explorers on dangerous, Galaxy-spanning adventures. Facing off against menacing aliens, unknown threats from the distant past and the unknown future, and diabolical villains who lurk around every corner, Captain Kirk, Spock and the others protect the United Federation of Planets from evils great and small. The Star Trek universe is getting even bigger with the debut of Star Trek Fighter Pods. These small figures bring big attitude and incredible action to your space-faring adventures. Collect them all and let the battle begin. There will apparently be thirty-six figurines in the first series. The idea is to collect the figures, and play with them, using them as both targets and ammunition for the launching and rolling toys in the series. So far three "attach pod launchers" have become available. Each comes with an "attack pod", which in some novelty way launches one of the four figurines in each pack.

A closer look at Star Trek Fighter Pods
Announced along-side the Star Trek Kre-O range Hasbro have also been showing off what seems to be their only other Star Trek Into Darkness toy range at the Toy Fair, the Star Trek Fighter Pods game. The Fighter Pods will be available exclusively at Toys'r'us, and are based on the same game already available in a Star Wars variety, featuring miniature stylised figurines, and "pods" which the figures can be put inside of, on top of, or just be knocked over with. The pods also connect, and can be launched from model ships. Like the Star Wars range, the new Star Trek line will offer lots of different characters, and variants, in sets of a variety of sizes ranging from a a handful of figurines and pods, up to large vehicle sets - This format gives the game an inherent collectability, and also allows you to play it at any scale, with just a few figurines, or with massive armies.
The new Star Trek range appears to be based on characters from the new timeline (although if it's successful I'm sure they'll expand it to the prime reality, as they already plan to with the Kreon range). The first wave includes a wide variety of characters, offering the first ever representations of many characters and species. Here's a look at the full range on display:

Details of the Star Trek Kre-O line-up (updated)
The first details of Hasbro's Star Trek Kre-O assortment are emerging from the New York Toy Fair. The first wave of sets has been described at a Hasbro presentation. I will update this article if more details/images emerge, for now we have an idea of the set assortment coming: UPDATE: StarTrek.com have released lots of images and information.
UPDATE 2: Have now added higher resolution versions of the official images posted by Toy News International, plus an extra image of the transporter set. Will be posting a separate article with closer looks at the sets on display at the Hasbro booth shortly.
UPDATE 3: Now added even high res images from Lethal Farse. You can also see photos of the sets and packaging from Toy Fair displays, in a separate article. While another article looks at the Fighter Pods range.
The first sets will be available from the 29th of April, and include the sets we saw in another presentation yesterday, plus others:
Enterprise playset
As previously seen in official photos, a recently released description, and at last year's Comic Con. This set will come with five kreon figures. We've already seen Kirk and Spock, who will be joined by McCoy and two other characters - Images of the set show these inconsistently in black and blue uniforms, and they are described by StarTrek.com as villains. 432 pieces.
Klingon Bird of Prey
This is a new design from Star Trek Into Darkness (as seen in the trailer), comes with two Klingons, Uhura, and Spock. Like the Enterprise this set has lights, in this case in the cockpit. Also fires projectiles from the wings. 236 pieces.
Spock's Volcano Mission
From the scenes seen in the trailers and IMAX preview (and no doubt a little after the end of the preview), this set features an exploding volcano (or redish blob), and shuttlecraft, and comes with Volcano-suit Spock, and Sulu. This set also has a light, which can illuminate the cockpit, or rather neatly rotates down to light Spock as you lower him into the volcano. 141 pieces.
Transporter Trouble
Comes with Scotty, and a Klingon, in a transporter with a rotating transporter effect, and another lighting effect! I wonder if this is indicative of a so-far unknown scene in Into Darkness... 65 pieces.
Space Dive
Features the first ever light-up kreon (to illuminate the faceplate I imagine), includes Kirk and a villian (surely John Harrison with his massive gun?), and a small airlock.
Mirco-build starships
In addition to kreon figure scale sets there will also be a range of "micro ships", with the USS Enterprise, USS Kelvin, Jellyfish, and Klingon D7 featuring in the first sets. Eeah set comes with a light-up stand. 34-42 pieces each.
Kreon figures
Offered as blind bags (like the Lego collectable minifigures), will be an initial wave of six figures: Nero, Gorn (from the new Star Trek video game?), Keenser, and a Klingon are familiar. Also listed are a Lieutenant Sprog, who is wholly new to me, and Grasia, which IMDB lists as an alien appearing in Into Darkness, played by the same actress who played the Kelvin's Alnschloss K'Bentayr in the 2009 film - The third character pictured here seems to have the same wide necked uniform of that character, so maybe that species is returning in Into Darkness.
A second wave of kreon figures will feature prime timeline aliens: Andorian, Borg drone, Spock, Worf, Ferengi, Salt Vampire, and Locutus. Another wave is to follow, with StarTrek.com suggesting that will include General Chang, and Captain Kirk.
Fighter Pods
Coming exclusively to Toys'r'us will be a range of "Fighter Pod" sets, it appears these are another concept, rather than part of the Kre-O line; Hasbro already have an extensive range of Star Wars Fighter Pods, which feature stylised versions of characters, along side vehicles in a battle-based game, which appears to be based loosely on bowling. The Star Trek version will include a large USS Enterprise fighter pod set, with four figures; Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Uhura.
The range also includes smaller sets:

- Fighter pod starter packs feature four figures and two pods each.
- While fighter pod "blind bags" each come with two figures and single pod.
