Surprise, Hallmark aren't done with Christmas this year it seems. In addition to their Keepsake ornaments released earlier in the year, they have also produced several other Star Trek decorations outside the Keepsake brand. Continue below to check them out.

First up there are two ceramic-style designs, both quite stylised. The first of which is a new ship! Shuttlecraft Galileo, which is a Walmart exclusive. The Hallmark Star Trek Ornaments blog and Garth Duran via the HeroCollector Star Trek Fan Group found all these photos of it:

Eaglemoss starships updates: New ships, new previews

Eaglemoss have released their latest round of solicitations for The Official Starships Collection, which reveal, well, only one new ship this time, but some new images of others, which along with other updates from both the regular and Discovery collections, give us lots to look at. Continue below for all the latest.

Starting with Discovery, issue nine was recently announced to be the Malachowski class USS Clarke, and from the solicitations we have a new image of that Miranda-ish model, and the cover too.

February Star Trek comics

IDW have released their solicitations for February, which include two new Star Trek comics, plus an omnibus. Continue below for the details of all those, and other comics updates.

The Q Conflict #2
Written by Scott and David Tipton, with art by David Messina
It's Captain vs. Captain vs. Captain vs. Captain in the most high-stakes scavenger hunt the galaxy has ever seen as Picard, Kirk, Janeway, Sisko and their teams compete for the amusement of their godlike tormentors. The biggest Star Trek crossover event ever continues here!
This second issue in the Q mega-crossover is offered in at least three covers, A and B by David Messina, plus a retail incentive from George Caltsoudas. We can only see the A so far though.

Star Trek vs Transformers #2 preview

Out this week is the second issue in IDW's Star Trek vs Transformers crossover comic series. The book comes from crossover writing team Mike Johnson (Star Trek) and John Barber (Transformers), with art from Philip Murphy.

Three different covers are available, with Philip Murphy also providing the A cover, featuring Captain Kirk amid battling transformers. The B cover by Marcelo Ferreira (coloured by Thomas Deer) features Spock in a more spacey montage of the same battle, while Derek Charm's retail incentive cover is altogether more peaceful with a cute Vulcan hand-sign exchange between Spock and Optimus Prime.

Book bits: New TOS novel, and release updates

A few little Star Trek prose updates today, and one big one: A new book has been announced!

Due for release in May, Christopher L. Bennett will be returning to the TOS era with The Captain's Oath. Details beyond that are minimal at the moment, with just the tiniest preliminary blurb:
An all-new novel based upon Star Trek: The Original Series, featuring Captain James T. Kirk and the crew of the Starship Enterprise!
Bennett also wrote the last TOS book to be published, The Face of the Unknown, and it seems this will be the first TOS book of the new year and new run of Star Trek novels after the recent hiatus, as the previously announced Greg Cox book, The Antares Maelstrom, has now been rescheduled, with an expected August release (instead of March).

In other books news, Blackstone have announced two more CD editions of recent Star Trek audiobooks (previously only available as downloads). April will bring us John Jackson Miller's Hell's Heart, the first book in the TNG-era crossover Prey trilogy. And then in May will be Dayton Ward's TNG novel Hearts and Mind. Both are read by Robert Petkoff and feature the same cover art as the previous download editions.

QMx's Scotty action figure

QMx have put up a listing (ahead of taking pre-orders) for Scotty, the next Star Trek character in their range of 1/6 scale action figures.

Like previous figures in the range the twelve inch tall figure includes a remarkably life-like likeness, highly detailed cloth uniform, and lots of accessories. Scotty comes with a phaser pistol, communicator, and tricorder (but no engineering equipment!), and an assortment of hands to hold those, as well as fisted hands, and open hands. Continue below to check out lots of new images of the figure, and snazzy in-universe settings for the most part:

Captain Saru comic on the way

IDW have announced, at Destination Star Trek over the weekend, a new Star Trek Discovery comic, titled Captain Saru. Details about what the book will be about are limited at the moment, although the title certainly implies a late season one setting for Saru to be in the chair.

This will be a one-shot issue, published in February, and comes from the usual Disco comic writes Mike Johnson and Kirsten Beyer, with art by Angel Hernandez. TrekMovie shared this Paul Shipper cover art:

Terra Incognita #4 preview

Out this week is the fourth issue of Terra Incognita, IDW's latest mirror universe infused TNG comic, from writers Scott and David Tipton, with Angel Hernandez taking on art duties this issue.

Like previous issues in the series, the book is offered in four different covers, with the A cover featuring the main characters from the issue, Riker and Wesley Crusher, by Tony Shasteen (coloured by JD Mettler). The B cover features the same pairing, in a photo-montage (which has been modified since it was previewed in solicitations). There are also two retail incentive covers, with Riker and Crusher once again featured on J.K. Woodwards cover. The final cover by Elizabeth Beals breaks the mold with a rather glorious Dixon Hill scene!
