Discovery: Succession #2 preview

Out this week is the second issue of the latest mirror universe Discovery comic, Succession. The book is written by Kirsten Beyer and Mike Johnson, with art by Angel Hernandez, and continues to explore the fallout of the USS Discovery's visit to the alternate universe, plus diving a little in mirror-Burnham's youth, as you can see in the preview below.

The book is available in four different covers. Cover A is by Angel Hernandez (coloured by Esther Sanz), and features mirror L'Rell leading a band of rebels. Cover B, a photo-cover, featuring Emperor Georgiou, who is also the subject of Elizabeth Beals's retail incentive cover. Another retail incentive cover is by Declan Shalvey (coloured by Jordie Bellaire), the latest in their ongoing series of ship covers, this time featuring the ISS Charon - You can see the artwork for that last one, without the titles, on the artist's Twitter. Continue below to check out the rest:

You can continue reading this story by picking up a copy at your local comic book shop, or from online retailers like these: AmazonThings From Another WorldForbidden PlanetiTunes.

Alternatively, if you can wait until November, you'll be able to get the omnibus book for the series, which will also include the recent Discovery Annual. Amazon just recently revealed the cover for this book, which is unusually, but welcomely, not reissueing the main issue one cover art, but instead making use of George Caltsoudas' fantastic retail incentive cover art, which features Burnham, Captain Killy, and Emperor Georgiou:
