Eaglemoss starships updates: First look at Planet Killer, new regular and Disco ships, and more!

Loads of Eaglemoss Starships Collection updates today, including news of new issues in both the regular and Discovery series, and new images of new and forthcoming ships in both. But first, our first look at the next special issue in the regular series, the Planet Killer!

Newly revealed in solicitations, the Planet Killer marks a notable new feature for Eaglemoss models: Light! Yup, what you see in the picture below (posted by 3000Toys) is not a trick of photography, but an internal light source in the model.

Also revealed in solicitations are two new ships in the regular series. Furthest ahead, issue 153, is the Dvore warship from Voyager's Counterpoint. Although it only appeared in one episode (as a specific ship at least, the model was reused a few times for generic background alien ships), it's one of the more unique Voyager designs outstanding from the series, and from one of Voyager's best episodes - So a very welcome addition to the series.

Preceding that is one of the Excelsior concept models, which did appear on-screen in TNG's Unification as another generic background ship. This is one of the last remaining canon Starfleet ships left for the collection to do.

A little closer to now, the Eaglemoss webshop has been updated with several soon to be released issues, giving us several new images of each. Furthest off is the Jem'Hadar Battleship, issue 148:

Right before that is Baran's Raider from TNG's Gambit:

And skipping an issue, 145 is Nightingale, and there's one new image of that:

Back to new reveals, freshly solicited for the Discovery collection is the Worker Bee, now confirmed as issue 13. I was excited when we saw the prototype of this, and the final model does not disappoint! Images here come from the solicitation and Eaglemoss webshop, and show the wonderfully detailed model with an interior. I'm very happy small-craft are being part of the main collection for Discovery, a good move to give us much more impressive models than the shuttle sets we've previously been offered in the main series.

Also already on the webshop is issue 14, revealed to be the Klingon Cleave Ship, one of the most unique designs to come out of Discovery:

We've got hints of new issues further ahead thanks to the coming soon preview in the most recent issues. All the newest reveals are featured in the Worker Bee magazine; the Engle class USS T'Plana Hath joins the Hoover class USS Edison on the coming soon list, which I think completes the fleet from the Battle of the Binary Stars (class types at least, there were multiple ships of some class). Also new is another small-craft, the Discovery shuttlecraft, and most exciting to me, the glorious peacock-like Klingon raider!

The Hero Collector blog has released a few images of other recent issues. Here's the USS Enterprise, the recently released issue 12:

Issue 11 was the Magee class USS Shran, and the Eaglemoss webshop released some extra images of this one too:

And finally there's the huge Klingon Sarcophagus ship special. These images have been released before, but they're much better resolution now, giving a better look at this intricate ship:
