Eaglemoss' Star Trek Universe starships series opens for subscriptions and teases future ships

Eaglemoss' new Star Trek Universe: The Official Starships Collection(ad) is now open for subscriptions in the US - UDPDATE: And now in the UK(ad), Germany(ad), and other parts of Europe(ad) too - and the revamped website is teasing several forthcoming ships in the series, which will be a mixture of ships from all the currently in-production live action Star Trek series; Picard, Discovery, and Strange New Worlds. Continue below to check out all the new previews, and newly revealed details for the series.

For the first time this new artwork brings the promise of this collection to life, showing off ships from both Picard and Discovery season three. Initially the series is being released in waves, with Picard ships coming first, before switching over to a period of 32nd century Discovery designs.

Featured here are one of the more obscure 32nd century starship ships (the four nacelled one top left), La Sirena, Kar Kantar's refit Romulan Bird of Prey, the distinctive yellow cargo ship seen on the Emerald Chain planet Hunhau (a surprisingly obscure ship to highlight early in the collection!), the Romulan Snakehead fighter, the Eisenberg class USS Nog, the refit USS Discovery-A (which is less silvery than expected post-refit in this image), the Intrepid/Janeway class USS Voyager-J, and the Inquiry class USS Zheng He.

The version of this banner below crops off the bottom ships, but is a little higher res:

The subscription offers several additional items as bonuses, including an additional ship, the USS Toussaint, a neat way for them to get the nacelle variant of the Inquiry class out without using up another slot in the series. This will come with the sixth shipment for subscribers - All the previous subscriber bonus ships in other Eaglemoss ship series have eventually been offered for individual sale later too, so non-subscribers will most likely get a chance to pick this up some time too.

With the third shipment subscribers will get a "Speed of Light" plaque:

And the second delivery will include a magazine binder. Subsequent binders will be sent every ten issues, but those will be charged extra to subscribers.

The first 500 subscribers will also get a couple of Picard pins thrown in too. But if you miss that, the pins are also already listed on Eaglemoss' online shop(ad)!

UPDATE: The European subscription has a couple of extra bits, a metal mug, and an as-yet-unseen print. Additional "Exclusive Limited Edition Star Trek prints" will also be sent every third delivery, at £29.99 a piece, and like the binders are automatically part of the subscription.

The Q&A on the subscription site(ad) has some other details. They promise the initial plan for the series is thirty issues, with the probability of extending it so long as new productions keep delivering new ships. They also mention plans for special issues, which may include additional models, art prints, and "collector items".

With the exception of the first issue, which is $9.95 including shipping, the subscriber price thereafter will be $49.95 per ship plus $4.95 shipping. Eaglemoss' non-subscriber price per issue is $54.95, plus shipping if applicable. So weigh that up as you will.

There is also a complete preview of the magazine for the first issue, La Sirena:

Note that last page previews the Wallenberg class (the Romulan evacuation ships) as "coming soon", perhaps suggesting it will be issue five, following the first four issues which have already been announced. Those are #1: La Sirena. #2: Inquiry class USS Zheng He. #3: Kar Kantar's refit Romulan Bird of Prey. #4 Seven of Nine's Fenris Rangers ship. New images of the first three have also been released:

The site also features a bunch of renderings of La Sirena, so we can really get to know this ship:

Meanwhile over on the Eaglemoss shop, issue two, USS Zheng He(ad), is also now up for individual pre-order, giving us another new image of the model:

And the XL edition of La Sirena(ad) (a little bigger than the Universe #1 version of the ship), is also now listed, but not up for pre-order just yet. There's a new image of this model too:

Finally there's also some snazzy banner art for several other ships recently added to Ealgemoss' online shop: La Sirena(ad) (regular size), STO's Romulan Aelahl class(ad), and Discovery's Klingon Chargh class(ad):
