DST's latest: Enterprise NX-01 and Deanna Troi

Diamond Select Toys have released images, on their Facebook page, of two of their new Star Trek releases, the latest in the Starship Legends and Femme Fatales series. Both are due out this month. Continue below to check them out.

Originally released in 2002, the Enterprise NX-01 was the first ever ship in the Starship Legends range of electronic starship toys. Now it's back, with a vastly improved paint job, and all new light and sound features (which you can see a preview video of in an earlier report).

Also due out imminently is Deanna Troi, the second Star Trek statue in DST's Femme Fatales range. Troi has been depicted in her earliest TNG' mini-dress uniform.

Both of these ranges are due for further releases, also on the way from Femme Fatales is the Borg Queen, while the next expected ship in the Starship Legends series is the TOS Romulan Bird of Prey.

I've got my old NX-01 right here, and rather than "vastly improved" I can only describe the paint job for the re-issue as "barely noticeable."

It's an improvement, don't get me wrong, but not a very big one. The Enterprise-D's re-issue had more improvements to its paintjob without any of the hyperbole the NX is getting.

FOX - is your deflector dish OK? Mine came defective - curled up like an old chicken finger.
