Lower Decks round-up: Mugato, Gumato previews, latest extra content, behind the scenes, and cool character art

This week's fourth episode of Lower Decks season two is called Mugato, Gumato, and as usual Paramount+ have released some promo for the episode, along with lots of fun extra content based on last week's episode. In this latest Lower Decks round-up I've also gathered up some cool Lower Decks art from some of the production artists. Continue below to check out all the latest from the series.

First up, here's the blurb and trailer for Mugato, Gumato, (you can also see the trailer on StarTrek.com if you prefer to Instagram below)

The USS Cerritos is dispatched to a planet to investigate an unexplained sighting of a dangerous Mugato.

This week's teaser images for the episode are very teasing indeed, not giving away much:

Looking back to last week's We'll Always Have Tom Paris, the latest Star Trek Logs entry is of course from Tendi, reflecting on her adventure with Mariner:

Naturally this week's Tendi selfie is also from their little jaunt:

Another bit of social media fun reflects on the amusing mystery of Shaxs' return:

There's also some nice artwork to mark this being the 800th episode of Star Trek! Another collector's plate design, and a character stuffed banner:

Dipping behind the scenes, Paramount+ released another animatics to final animation comparison video, of Mariner and Tendi playing Dom Jot:

And going back an episode, storyboard artist Megan Lloyd shared this storyboard from Kayshon, His Eyes Open, when Kayshon was puppeted, along with a look at the cute real puppet a friend made her!

As usual Paramount+ also released some more spoiler stills from last week's episode once it had been released:

Titmouse Stuff's Shirt Collective T-shirt design this week is one for cat lovers, going full on cat-in-a-box for Doctor T'Ana:

And finally, here's some awesome artwork from the production team! Character designer Marisa Livingston shared this cute illustration of the lower deckers at the bar:

And fellow character designer and animator Robby Cook shared this group shot, with Jet being let in to play with the group this time:

Robby Cook also created this pin-up of Ransom!

And as shared by Tawny Newsome a most flattering Mariner version of herself in her season two premier outfit.
