Non-Fiction previews: The Motion Picture, Dan Curry, and Voyager books

Lots of new previews for forthcoming Star Trek non-fiction books have been released, giving us a peak inside the new books dedicated to The Motion Picture, Voyager, and the wide ranging work of visual effects master Dan Curry. Continue below to check out preview pages from them all!

First up, the film that redefined the look of Trek in a way that echoes until this day, and brought Star Trek to the big screen. Star Trek: The Motion Picture - Inside the Art and Visual Effects is set to give us a look at how that film was created, and is packed full of beautiful imagery.

The book is written by Jeff Bond and Gene Kozicki, and will be coming from Titan Books next month (although some are in the wild already). Here's a reminder of the blurb:

Also from Titan Books, is Star Trek: The Artistry of Dan Curry - VFX, weapons, and wonders from TNG to Voyager. The book is written by Curry himself, with Ben Robinson, and will give us insights into how he brought to life the spectacles of TNG, DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise. Due out in November, here's the blurb:

Also due in November, and also from Ben Robinson, with Mark Wright, but this time published by Eaglemoss' Hero Collector Books and Penguin Random House, is Star Trek: Voyager - A Celebration. Billed as a convention in a book, the book offers wide ranging discussion of all aspects of the series, with new interviews with many of the creators and actors.

StarTrek.com and Penguin Random House have both released preview pages, giving a good sense of what the book is like, and including the contents page, which among many other subjects included a ten-page "Starship Gallery"!
