Action figure updates: Mego wave 2, DST and McFarlane previews, and standees

Lots of Star Trek action figure updates today, including new previews of forthcoming Diamond Select Toys and McFarlane action figures. Continue below for those.

But first we have our first look at the at the Star Trek figures in wave two of Marty Abrams Presents Mego revival range. Joining Sulu, Chekov and mirror Kirk and Spock from the first assortment, we will soon be able to get Spock and the Gorn.

TrekMovie posted this nice clear images of the Spock figure, which Mego Museum have found a packaged shot of. This is of course very close to the original Mego Spock figure from the 70s.

Trek Toys updates: Mega Construx, Titans, DST, McFarlane, Mego, and more!

Got lots of Star Trek toys updates today, mostly action figures of one sort or another from a very diverse mix of companies, styles, and series!

First up Mega Construx have added an extra Star Trek item to their slowly growing collection of construction toy compatible mini action figures. Available now as part of series three of their Heroes range is TNG's Data, who comes equipped with a phaser and tricorder.

The Heroes range brings together an assortment of Mega Construx's licenses in each wave, so this third series sees Data released alongside characters from Terminator, Aliens, Masters of the Universe, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

McFarlane Toys Captain Kirk and Picard action figure previews

McFarlane Toys' first Star Trek releases, the Captain Kirk and Captain Picard action figures, are due out any day now, and so of course they have released a whole bunch of images to show of their new creations. Continue below to check them both out.

Both figures are at a seven inch scale, and feature numerous points of articulation, a Star Trek styled base, and a whole load of accessories. Captain Kirk, in his TV era yellow uniform, comes with a phaser pistol, communicator, and a phaser rifle.

Star Trek Toys update: McFarlane Toys, DST, and NJ Croce figures, ships, and props

Lots of Star Trek toys news is surfacing lately, with new releases on the way, but also something maybe not coming so soon. Continue below for the latest from Diamond Select Toys and NJ Croce. But first, there's a whole bunch of stuff to look at from the newest Star Trek toy company, McFarlane Toys.

McFarlane's first Star Trek releases are due next month, seven inch action figures of Captain Kirk and Captain Picard. We finally have some new preview images of them thanks to adverts that have appeared in recent Star Trek comics, and a banner from McFarlane's website. Hopefully more comprehensive sets of photos will be released as we approach the release dates, but for now this is our best look at the new figures:

Latest Discovery prop reproduction images

Retailers are starting to list some of the latest Discovery prop toys and reproductions, giving us new images of those forthcoming releases. Continue below to check them out:

First up we've got the phaser from McFarlane Toys, which is expected towards the end of the year. As you can see, this has gained a slightly bright orange part on the firing end, no doubt in order to make sure it isn't mistaken for a real gun when being played with.

McFarlane Toys Star Trek Toy Fair previews

At the recent New York Toy Fair McFarlane Toys had a few of their forthcoming Star Trek releases on display, including the first look at their Star Trek: Discovery phaser, and updates on their first Star Trek action figures. Continue below to check them out:

The Discovery phaser will be their first role-play item, and they expect to release it towards the end of the summer or early autumn. It can separate into three parts, including the small hand-phaser on top, and the battery pack inside the grip; the mock-up of the packaging they had on display even suggest they will package it in exploded form. They also had a painted version on display, and to hand a prototype to demonstrate all the light and sound features. McFarlane Toys reveal first Discovery toy plans, and TOS and TNG too!

McFarlane Toys had their own panel at the Star Trek Las Vegas convention, and have now posted their presentation on their blog too, revealing lots of new details about their forthcoming Star Trek toy ranges.

First up, lets get excited for the first Discovery toys! Joining their line of seven inch action figures in later 2018, will be Michael Burnham, and T'Kuvma.

First look at McFarlane Toys Star Trek action figures

Back in May McFarlane Toys announced they had obtained a new license to produce Star Trek toys, spanning all the prime universe TV series and movies, including Discovery. They have plans for action figures and role-play props.

But before they release Discovery characters, they have already announced two classic characters, Captains Kirk and Picard, expected early next year, Now they have released the first images of the prototypes of those figures:
