Round 2 have been considering doing a TOS shuttlecraft kit as far back as 2012, and shelved it for a while after the costs of doing a kit with a full interior became prohibitive. But now they've returned to the idea, and expect to release it the 1:32 scale kit (making it about eleven inches long) later this year! In a preview video on YouTube of lots of forthcoming releases, we got out first look:

Latest TOS costume replicas from Anovos

Several new items from the TOS TV and movie eras are now available to order from Anovos, the maker of high end Star Trek costume replicas. Continue below to check them out.

First up, something that was previewed at conventions recently, the Wrath of Khan "Starfleet landing party field jacket". The elaborately collared and multi-pocket coat worn by Admiral Kirk in the film, is now available to order, with a long lead time; they're not expected to ship until autumn 2019!

There are lots of details on this piece, which as ever are meticulously recreated referencing originals, and that is no doubt reflected in the certainly-not-a-casual-purchase price of $1500. Alas so far Anovos have only released two images, so detail remain seen from afar (including the Sol Sector Earthbase patch on the sleeve, which sadly can't be seen clearly in either image):

QMx reveal new insignia badges, action figures, and more

QMx have released a host of new Star Trek stuff at the recent New York Toy Fair, including several new insignia badge, lots of new action figures, and their latests figurines and starship models for Loot Crate. Continue below to check them all out.

They announced three new additions to their long running series of magnetic-backed insignia badges, all drawing from Discovery. First up we have the very mysterious black Starfleet delta badge, seen oh so briefly when we first encountered the USS Discovery and then never mentioned again. Hopefully this release is indicative of that particular detail not being entirely forgotten as we head towards season two; or maybe QMx just think there's enough interest in the mystery.

Ship bits: DST Reliant, Eaglemoss concept Enterprise-C, and Moebius Franklin

I've got a few different starship models updates today, including new images of Eaglemoss' concept art Enterprise-C, and an update on Moebius Models' USS Franklin.

But first, something we've been waiting for a long time... We have our first look at Diamond Select Toys' next Starships Legends release, the USS Reliant.

The Reliant is the next ship in DST's range of models with lights and sounds, and was announced almost two years ago now. Since then we've not had so much as a tease, and we still don't know when it's actually coming! This image is a "resin prototype" (which doesn't fill one with hope at an imminent release!), and was revealed by the Facebook page of The Toys That Made Us, a new Netflix documentary series about toys, which has a Star Trek episode coming up later in the year.
