Stuck at home in need of something to do? Maybe you need a jigsaw puzzle to fill a few hours? Well lucky you, there are several recent Star Trek designs just waiting to be put together. Continue below to check out the latest:
New to the world of Star Trek are Cobble Hill, who last year launched a range of Star Trek designs spanning all the older series. All of their Star Trek designs are 1000 piece puzzles, and all come with a poster too (I assume of the same design).
My favourite of the collection is their Women of Star Trek puzzle, which celebrates all the major female characters from TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise:

Automotive accessories maker FanWraps have come up with an innovative way to take Trek with you wherever you go, with their passenger window decals.
These feature the torsos of several different Star Trek characters, which can be stuck to your car window to give the impression you're giving them a lift - Or if you don't fancy endorsing car culture, maybe you can stick them up in your conservatory and pretend you're having a little briefing meeting?
So far you can get Captain Picard, Spock, Captain Kirk, or clearly the best, a Gorn! Here are some in-action photos:

Gold Key Comics are getting miniature reissues, in the form of a new series of Star Trek postage stamps! Eighteen covers from the first ever Star Trek comics will feature on stamps due out this month.
This latest release from the Inter-Governmental Philatelic Corporation adds a new twist to their usual formats. This latest series has been split in three, with near simultaneous releases in three globe-spanning countries: The Gambia, Grenada, and the Marshall Islands, with releases due on the 17th, 29th, and 30th respectively. Danilo's 2018 Star Trek calendars, including glorious Gold Key calendar
UK Star Trek calendar publisher Danilo have got three calendars out this year, featurings TOS, ships, and Discovery. Continue below for previews of them all.
Danilo don't publish a TOS calendar every year, but have done some before, and previous releases, like their US counterparts, have generally been pretty familiar TOS photos and screencaps. But this year they've gone an entirely different and totally delightful route, with an entire calendar of Gold Key Comics cover art! I hope this does well, as there's great potential in it continuing as a series, using Gold Key again, or art from hundreds of other Star Trek comics over the years.

More Star Trek postage stamps feature captains, aliens, Gold Key and more!
2016 was a huge year for Star Trek postage stamp collectors, with more releases in one year than ever before, chronicling every corner of the Star Trek universe! Adding to the tally, the Inter-Governmental Philatelic Corporation, who design and distribute stamps for many countries, have now added listings for a load more Star Trek stamps which were released towards the end of the year.
Liberia released their third collection of Star Trek stamps, in August, with a 50th anniversary range focused on the series captains. That included one large stamp featuring all five captains, plus a set of five individuals stamps for each captain as well.

The blockbuster series continues with an all-new STAR TREK adventure set after the events of STAR TREK BEYOND! Captain Kirk and the crew of the U.S.S Endeavour encounter a new threat to the Federation, but one very familiar to STAR TREK fans! Meanwhile, Spock and Uhura face an uncertain future on New Vulcan! The book will be offered in four different covers. The main cover featuring a pretty exciting image of Sulu about to quantum leap... is by George Caltsoudas. Tony Shasteen provides the subscription cover, which continues a series that will through the first six issues of the series, with each cover focused on a different member of the Enterprise crew. Two further covers have yet to be revealed, but one will be a photo cover, and the cover will feature art by Marc Laming. Note the covers feature a pretty sharp new title treatment for the series. Boldly going indeed!

Lots of Star Trek comics news below, including the return of Captain Data, preview art and covers from several series, and IDW updates from the San Diego Comic Con.
First up, a new crossover series! Last year's really rather good Kelvin timeline/Green Lantern crossover series, The Spectrum War, ended quite surprisingly with the Green Lantern characters apparently having settled in the Star Trek universe. A sequel series due to start later this year promises to pick up where the previous tale left off:

A sequel series due to start later this year promises to pick up where the previous tale left off:
Captain Kirk and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise will once again cross paths with the Green Lantern Corps in a sequel to last year’s Star Trek/Green Lantern series. The creative team of Mike Johnson and Angel Hernandez will reteam for another epic space opera, this one picking up the new status quo where it left off and introducing additional cosmic heroes and villains familiar to fans of both series.

Gold Key Archives, Volume 5 preview
Out now is Star Trek: Gold Key Archives, Volume 5, the latest in IDW's reprints of the first ever Star Trek comics series, featuring beautifully restored artwork, bringing these stories to life better than they've ever looked.
Unusually for the series, this book will be available in two covers. The regular retail version features new artwork by Michael Stribling, while a convention exclusive cover sees the 50th anniversary logo superimposed over the covers of the stories within.
As the contents page lists, this volume contains six stories, the original issues 25-28, and 30-31. The missing issue is because that were originally a reprint issue, and so has already been collected in previous volumes of the collection. Reprinted issues in the series did feature new cover artwork, and that is collected in this book too. Continue below for a preview from the first story in the book, Dwarf Planet.

Eaglemoss launches Star Trek comics collection
Eaglemoss, publishers of Star Trek: The Official Starships Collection, are moving into another area of the Star Trek universe with the launch of Star Trek: The Graphic Novel Collection. The fortnightly series will deliver a hardcover editions of comics drawn from the entire fifty year history of Star Trek comic publishing. The books will feature spine-art building up a single image, plus new introductory texts:
With this collection you can revisit all the classic characters and incredible art from the STAR TREK comic archives. Every edition has a specially-commissioned introduction to provide context to the story. Every book contains a number of collected comics and a bonus reprint of one of the comic archive’s classic stories.I expect that description, from their website, indicates this Star Trek collection will follow a similar format to Eaglemoss' DC collection, in which each issue includes a big multi-issue story, plus an extra issue drawn from somewhere else in the comic series. That would certainly be a pretty good way to delivery the many single issue Star Trek comics, while also giving each book a big story to focus on.

IDW have published their solicitations for April, which include lots of new Star Trek comics, with both the start of one miniseries, and the end of another, and a good dose of TOS too. Continue below for all April's titles, and more Star Trek comics news.
The big news of the month is the start of a new four-issue miniseries, Manifest Destiny, a story featuring the Klingons. This is being marketed as a fiftieth anniversary event series, and will be released fortnightly, so April will see two issues.
Manifest Destiny #1

Then there will be Klingon language editions from the same artists (none have been released so far, so it's not clear if the same artwork will be reused for these or not).

IDW's March titles, and other Star Trek comics updates
IDW have released their solicitations for March, which include five Star Trek titles, including the start of a new story, and the long awaited UK comic strips book. Continue below for full details of those, and other Star Trek comics news.
Star Trek (nuTrek ongoing) #55: Legacy of Spock, part 1
Written by Mike Johnson, with art by Tony Shasteen.
Star Trek (nuTrek ongoing) #55: Legacy of Spock, part 1
Written by Mike Johnson, with art by Tony Shasteen.
This all-new story set in the universe of the new STAR TREK films celebrates the life of the most iconic character of them all: Leonard Nimoy's SPOCK. In Part 1 of this 4-part epic, the elder Spock joins the last survivors of Vulcan to search the galaxy for a new homeworld! Don't miss this special series, part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the STAR TREK franchise!Writer Mike Johnson recently outlined the series while talking on J.K.'s Happy Hour podcast, giving a bit more detail on what it's all about:
...it actually starts with that scene in the 2009 movie, where Nimoy Spock meets Quinto Spock. And in this comic we follow Nimoy Spock away from that meeting, and follow him as he joins with the survivors of Vulcan and they develop plans to find a new homeworld, and consequences and tribulations ensue from there. And then over the course of these four issues we will see Spock reflecting on the life - It's really looking back over the whole of his life. We'll see cameos and flashback with familiar characters from the original universe/timeline. It's like a celebration of his life, at the same time we're telling a very important story in the Trek present about finding a safe location for the new homeworld. And speaking of J.K. Woodward, he will provide the subscription cover for this first issue in the series, alongside the regular cover from Tony Shasteen:

New Visions updates: Gary Seven, Pike, Gold Key and more!
The next issue of John Byrne's New Visions photo-comic is due out next month, be he's already got stories and plans for issues that will take the bimonthly(ish) series well into next year. As ever Byrne has been posting regular updates on his work in progress on his own forums, giving clues of stories to come and insights into his process creating these unique comics.
A while ago Byrne teased at the possibility of a Gary Seven issue in the series, and has now confirmed that will be going ahead, and naturally it will be issue seven! Here's a page from that issue (work in progress) featuring Kirk, Seven, and a mysterious alien ship:
Apparently the issue will also include rooftop chase, and it seems a visit inside that alien ship, as Byrne also posted this preview of a virtual set of the interior:
Byrne's Gary Seven Assignment: Earth series is perhaps my favourite of his Star Trek work, so I'm delighted for another Seven adventure. But I'm also a huge fan of the Pike era (which Byrne has also previously touch on in his Crew series), so I'm equally pleased that the fifth issue, A Scent of Ghosts, is set to take us back to that earlier time on the Enterprise. Continue after the jump for a peak at that issue, and more hints of things to come in the series.
