Latest Star Trek/The Big Bang Theory crossover toys

The Big Bang Theory characters are donning their Starfleet uniforms once more, for two new sets of Star Trek themed toys. Continue below for all the details.

Bif Bang Pow's latest offering is a series of 3.75 inch tall action figures, giving us all the main Big Bang Theory characters in TOS uniforms.

Bif Bang Pow's latest bobble heads and more

Bif Bang Pow revealed several new Star Trek toys in displays at the San Diego Comic Con, including new characters in their ever expanding range of Star Trek bobble heads. Following on from the range of TNG characters that built a bridge, there will be two characters to populate Ten Forward, the unlikely pairing of Q and Guinan. A more common pairing comes from the latest renditions of Kirk and Spock, this time bobbling their way through the kal-if-fee. And finally there will be another Spock, this time in his The Voyage Home robes, and this one will also have a sound feature. As yet there are no release dates for any of these new designs.

There will be Star Trek variants of all the The Big Bang Theory characters in Bif Bang Pow's range of three and three-quarter inch action figures (which should nicely complement the actual Star Trek characters in the range of similar figures from Funko). Bif Bang Pow had all these on show among the regular versions of the characters, check them out after the jump:

New Star Trek action figures from QMx, Funko, and Bif Bang Pow

At the Toy Fair over the weekend several companies were showing off new Star Trek action figures, continue below to check out the latest TNG, TOS, and The Big Bang Theory crossover releases.

The most impressive of the newly revealed characters comes from QMx, who have turned always sharp eye for detail to Captain Picard, to make a new one-sixth scale (about thirty centimeters tall) articulated action figure. This release is comparable to the Malcolm Reynolds (from Firefly) figure already available to pre-order form QMx, which itself features no less than thirty-eight points of articulation. Like Reynolds, Picard has an unnervingly realistic head, and highly detailed fabric uniform, plus a phaser rifle. Images via Toy Ark.

The Big Bang Theory goes retro

For last year or so, there has been a growing range of co-branded Star Trek and the The Big Bang Theory merchandise, including clothing, apparel, and toys. The latest entry into this collection comes from Bif Bang Pow, in the form of Mego-style retro action figures of all the main Big Bang Theory characters, in TOS Starfleet uniforms - There have been several other toy versions of the Big Bang guys presented Star Trek style, but this is the first time the female characters have been included.

This new series casts Leonard as Captain Kirk, and Sheldon as Spock (complete with very pointy ears). The science department is filled out by Amy and Bernadette, while operations is manned by Penny, Raj, and Howard. I raise a quizzical Spock-like eyebrow at the ranks here, as all the female characters are at least a rank below the males!

Entertainment Earth have all seven available for pre-order, and anticipate an October release. They are limited to the rather curious figure of six-hundred-and-two of each character. Continue after the jump below to see the full range.

Latest Star Trek figures

Some figures news here, starting with another San Diego Comic Con exclusive bobble head from Bif Bang Pow. Joining the previously announced Data/Geordi Holmesian two-pack, there will also be a Seven of Nine bobble head, depicting her in the red dress seen in the episode Human Error.

Back at Toy Fair, Bif Bang Pow did announce they plan to release a more typically attired Seven of Nine, but that hasn't reached market yet, so this will be their first Voyager release. Entertainment Earth are taking pre-orders, if Seven doesn't sell out then any remaining stock will be shipped after Comic Con (which is later this month).

Coming later in the year will be the first Star Trek release from a new Trek licensee, The Wonderland Toy Company. Wonderland have several different ranges, and their first Star Trek release will be part of their Big Talker line, which are large (seventeen inch) action figures with sound features playing memorable lines.  Due out in November, according to Things From Another World, will be the latest in the Star Trek/The Big Bang Theory cobranded range, a Big Talker version of Sheldon Cooper, dressed as Spock. Wonderland posted the following image on their website:

Finally, and most immediately available, Cubify have launched a new customisable 3D-printed figurine, the Star Trek Mini. Like their previous TOS and TNG uniform figurines, you are able to have your face added by uploading a photo, but for these new smaller figurines (two inches tall) the body is based on a template, with you being able to turn yourself into either Spock or Uhura. Trek-wear: Picard jacket, combadges, belts, and high fashion

Here's the latest news from the assorted Star Trek clothiers. Starting with Anovos' latest uniform replica, the Captain Picard jacket. Here's what they have to say about this piece:

Designed by Robert Blackman with direct input from Sir Patrick Stewart himself, Captain Picard’s Jacket was intended to make the Captain stand out from the rest of the crew -- just as Captain Kirk’s wraparound tunics had a generation before. We all wanted it the first time we saw it on El-Adrel, and by the time Jean-Luc plays the first notes of “Kamin’s Song” we had to have it.

Having examined a screen-used jacket, we duplicated the patterning and precise color of the original down to a tee.

We then sourced the correct synthetic fiber for the body, microsuede for the shoulders, satin interior lining for comfort, and finished it with a zipper closure so you can recreate the different adventures in which Captain Picard wore this stunning jacket.

As ever Anovos are offering a discount for earl pre-orders, with the first twenty-five customers getting their jackets for $225, rising to eventual full price of $300 for those who nab the final few of the edition of one-hundred.

Of course you'll need a combadge to go with this, and while QMx provide a very shiny replica, maybe you'll be interested in something more interactive? Well, you're in luck, Forbidden Planet have recently added listings for TNG and Voyager combadges on the way from Bif Bang Pow. The new plastic props feature a chirp sound effect when you tap them, and are expected to open hailing frequencies in December.

New bobble-heads and action figures from Bif Bang Pow revealed at Toy Fair

At this week's Toy Fair, Bif Bang Pow have revealed several new Star Trek items in their range. They have plans for lots of new bobble heads: Continuing the series of bobble-heads already begun with the Wrath of Khan Kirk, Spock and Khan characters, the line will be expanded to include the other main TOS characters in movie-era uniforms, plus the Klingon Kruge.

At the same scale there will also be a lone Voyager character, Seven of Nine. While at a smaller scale Bif Bang Pow are also planning a series of captains in chairs monitor mates, one for each of the prime-timeline series.

They are also planning another bobble-ship, a rather curious wooden version of the TOS USS Enterprise.

Bif Bang Pow are also planning some Star Trek action figures, as the latest release in The Big Bang Theory/Star Trek crossover range. They have previously displayed prototypes of Mego-style versions of The Big Bang boys in Starfleet uniforms at last year's Comic Con. At the Toy Fair this time they just had artwork on display, which shows the boys have been joined by the main female characters form the series too. All seven will form series two of Bif Bang Pow's The Big Bang Theory eight-inch action figure range.

Christmas kitsch from the Trekverse

I don't know about the rest of the world, but excessively festive jumpers seem to be all the rage in England at the moment. It seems Freeze have cottoned on to this trend with their latest design, a Star Trek Christmas jumper:

Latest Star Trek novelty items

A few bits and bobs for you to ponder, starting with the latest additions to the Star Trek golf range: Now available from the StarTrek.com store are golf club covers, and golf balls, both (as ever everything is) styled after the TOS uniforms:

The TOS uniform has also recently found itself prepared for the youngest recruits in Starfleet, with We Love Fine's new baby onesies:

Also taking a TOS influence is the latest version of Spock socks, these ones come from Threadless:

TOS doesn't get all the fun though, earlier this year an Enterprise-D bottle opener was released. The stardrive section is magnetised, as a dock for the saucer, which containers the actual bottle opener. Mock-up images of it have been around for a while, but now Busted Tees have posted a nice set of images showing the real thing, which looks pretty neat:

New Star Trek Pop! vinyl figures

Entertainment Earth and Forbidden Planet have added listings for a new series of Star Trek Pop! vinyl figures from Funko. The wave of six characters all come from TOS, with three based on the crew (Kirk, Spock, and Scotty) and three aliens (Andorian, Klingon, and Orion slave girl). Entertainment Earth suggest they will be out in December, while Forbidden Planet anticipate a January release.

Also listed by both Entertainment Earth and Forbidden Planet, with the same suggested release dates, is a set of The Big Bang Theory Pop! vinyl figures. The latest in the Big Bang/Trek crossover series, each of the male characters comes in Starfleet uniform. These are standard version of the Comic Con exclusive mid-transport effect versions of the Starfleet uniformed figures released earlier this year. Check them out after the jump:

Also out in time for Christmas is the latest product in the Star Trek/The Big Bang Theory crossover range, a Christmas ornament featuring the Big Bang guys in Starfleet uniform. This is part of a series of Big Bang Theory decorations from Ripple Junction, but if you want more Trek on your tree you've got Hallmark's offerings to compliment this.

And finally, I've previously looked at the new Star Trek dog beds and dog toys; but there's still more to come from Crowded Coop, who are also releasing collars, leaches, and dog bowls, a communicator shaped bag dispenser, and several different Starfleet uniforms for dogs (even a miniskirt version!). Lots of new Star Trek figures revealed at Comic Con

Several companies revealed new Star Trek action figures and sculptures at this past weekend's San Diego Comic Con. Here's a round up of all the new stuff:

Square Enix will be launching a new line of large-scale high-end action figures, they will be part of their wider Play Arts KAI range, which includes figures from numerous franchises, including Batman and Halo. Their first releases will be Kirk and Spock from nuTrek; they had prototypes of both on display at the Con. Toy News International posted this image of the highly detailed ten-inch figures. For a better look check out Toy News International and ToyArk's galleries.

Kirk prime is also getting the big-figure treatment. A new twelve-inch Captain Kirk figure with a cloth uniform is coming later this year from Moebius. Figures.com posted the follow picture, and they too have a gallery where you can see more images of the captain:

Also going for a retro look are Big Bang Pow! who are the latest company to join the Star Trek/The Big Bang Theory co-branding efforts, with a new range of Mego-style eight inch action figures. The range includes normal attire for most of the Big Bang Theory characters, while the four Big Bang Theory boys will also be available in TOS uniforms:

Wesley Crusher was released at the Con, the rest of the crew will be coming out once a month for the next several months. Entertainment Earth currently have listings for Riker, LaForge, and Worf.

Finally Titan Merchandise had their Star Trek Masterpiece Collection busts on display, including a newly revealed addition to the range, Mr Sulu, modelled after his foil wielding appearance in The Naked Time. StarTrek.com posted this image:

That's not quite it, I've already reported on several other figures: The new Skele-Treks figures, new figurines in Hallmark's Keepsakes range, and a new Mimobot character. Cubify also announced new additions to their 3D printed figurine range, which I'll be reporting on separately later.

Even more Big Bang Theory Star Trek figures!

So, you didn't go for the Big Bang Theory/Star Trek Wacky Wobblers? Not even the metallic variants? Ah well, maybe you'd prefer the Starfleet uniform variants of the Big Bang guys in the Mystery Minis figurines range? No? Ok, well Funko haven't given up on you yet! That's right there's yet another version of the Big Bang boys coming in Starfleet uniforms, this time as a San Diego Comic Con exclusive, as part of their range of Pop! vinyl figurines. This time the figures are also depicted mid-transport (or wearing none-regulation glitter trousers...). If I'm squinting accurately it appears there will be a thousand of each of these available.

More Big Bang Theory and Doctor Who crossovers

Things From Another World have added listing for another T-shirt in the Star Trek/The Big Bang Theory crossover range. The Big Bang Theory gang are pictured in Starfleet uniforms once again, and this time the girls get to join the crew too. In a very cool touch, the title The Big Bang Theory is using the Gold Key Comics Star Trek font!

Funko have also revealed more Star Trek/The Big Bang Theory crossover toys (following on from their Wacky Wobblers). Their new line of Mystery Mini figurines feature The Big Bang Theory characters, at least one each of the main characters, plus many variants of Sheldon. All the boys also have a Starfleet uniform variant. Here's the entire series (image via Toyark, where you can also see the packaging for these):

The Big Bang Theory isn't the only franchise getting the Star Trek crossover treatment. Entertainment Earth has also announced a second Star Trek crossover monitor mates and lunch tin set, which like the previously announced Twilight Zone crossover, will be a San Diego Comic Con exclusive. This time they are using artwork from the TNG/Doctor Who crossover comic Assimilation², to decorate the lunch tin, while the monitor mates will be the TARDIS and the Enterprise-D. For some reason only the TARDIS will actually come with the tin; you have to send off to get the Enterprise-D.
