New starship class Online
The Star Trek Online website has been updated with details of a new type of Federation starship, the Oslo class, which is the next generation design from the Norway class and starts to take the Online fleet towards the customisation to be seen in the game with an in-universe idea of greater flexibility in starship design as the fleet was redeveloped after the Dominion war.

Seven returns!
Well this I find very exciting: Based on this preview from Crew #4 released by John Byrne on his forums, it looks like he's doing a crossover between his miniseries and having Gary Seven (from the fantastic Assignment: Earth series) meet the Crew. Awesome!

IDW June
Comics Continuum have posted IDW's solicitations for June, which include four Trek titles, some new covers, and curiously doesn't include a forth issue of the second Alien Spotlight series...
Crew #4
It's a war that has raged for decades but who are the combatants, and what is their unexpected connection to the Earth of centuries past? The crew of the U.S.S. Hood will have only hours to find out, or die trying!
Mission's End #4
With McCoy missing, Kirk unconscious, and the Enterprise badly damaged, Spock and Scotty must protect the Archernarian "Heart of God" -- the most powerful weapon in the universe‹from being stolen by Orion PiratesÅ all while civil war rages inside Archernar-IV.
The Wrath of Khan #1
Somebody goofed up 25 years ago, and IDW is going to make it right! The one Star Trek movie that never got a proper comic book adaptation is the best one! Kirk, Spock and crew will battle it out with Khan for the last time!
The Wrath of Khan #2
Kahn attacks and blows the enterprise to smithereens! Kirk has to consider facing death for the very first time! Plus, he meets his kid! The action-packed movie continues in this three-part, bi-weekly extravaganza!

Retro bridge playset box
The Art Asylum blog has been updated with new photos of the box for the retro Mego bridge playset. It looks like this:
D.A.C. details
TrekMovie.com have received some details on the enigmatic new movie tie-in game Star Trek D.A.C.; The game will be a top-down arcade starship combat affair, to be available first on X-Box Live Arcade and later on the Playstation Network. There will be single and multiplayer, with a focus on multiplayer. There will be two sides, Federation or Romulans, with three types of ship for each; flagship (Enterprise, or something inspired by the Narada), fighter & bomber, which are inspired by designs in the film. The game will feature sound and music from the film.

Two new IDW covers
On his blog, Chris Ryall has released two (rather awesome) covers. John Byrne's Crew #5 and a cover from David Messina for a something coming in July (the Countdown sequel maybe?)
New TV spot for new movie
Paramount have released a new 30 second mini trailer for the new movie which will apparently be airing tonight on US TV, watchy:

More Kelloog's promos
The Kelloog's website has been updated with info on a couple more promos to tie in with the new film. In boxes of Frosted Mini-Wheats, Frosted Flakes, Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, Froot Loops and Rice Krispies you can find "Star Trek Beam-Up Badges" which have some manner of battery powered function. There are five to collect, each with a different insignia; Starfleet Command, Science and Engineering, and Romulan and Klingon Empire.
There's also a promotion with Pop Tarts where you can collect tokens to get passes to watch the film.

DST TOS wave the fifth
DST have made a post on their website detailing their fifth wave of TOS figures. Added to the assortment since the recent Toy Fair is Janice Rand, and absent is the Romulan Commander. However also not present is the Salt Vampire, which an Art Asylum blog post on the wave mentions is still in the works:

Bits and bobs
A few newsoids:
On his blog, on a post with a video trailer for Countdown Chris Ryall has quietly announced an "as-yet-unannounced follow-up project launching in July" which will feature art by David Messina.
TrekMovie.com report that Zachary Quinto (Spocklar) will be voicing the audio book version of the adaptation of the new movie.
And TrekMovie.com also report on a couple of new customisable Star Trek gadgetry products; Hyperdesk have launched a series of desktop themes/skins for Windows XP, featuring TOS based icons and imagery, like this:
And Coveroo now offer a huge range of customisation options for mobile phones and ipods. A lot of TOS, but a fair bit TNG, DS9, and Voyager stuff in there too (I dont think anything that originates from Enterprise), and QUOGs too of course: Finally, the Star Trek Online website has been updated with a supplemental addition to their timeline, in the form of an interview with Annika Hansen, in which has a complain about Starfleet getting complacent about the Borg (cant see what kind of Borgy doom Online is heading too...). It also reveals Seven adopted Icheb!

Edible Star Trek
Almost forgot to note these, but... TrekMovie have reported on Star Trek based food stuffs coming out of the Trek bandwagon.
By far the most exciting (in my opinion as a chocoholic) is a chocolate starship Defiant. Though this in unfortunately only to be found in Canada, as produced by Les Chocolats Vadeboncoeur:
There are also to be Star Trek cakes! A US company called Deco Pac are doing a little model Enterprise to go on big cakes, little cakes with little pictures of the Enterprise and "Star Trek" and a big edible picture of the Enterprise to put on your cakes.
Finally Kellogg’s have started to role out there promo stuff for the new film, with a thing to get a Star Trek plate. However if I'm honest I'm far more interested in the odd american mini-waffle-toast-grid-things the promotion is attached to, fascinating *cocks and eyebrow* You can get tokens from a whole range of "Eggo" waffles, egg-citing!

D-A-C?
TV Shows on DVD have posted some promo material for the bluray release of TOS and the Scene It games, including this curious insert that apparently comes on the back of a Scene It insert:
New movie Enterprise, loads of new looking ships, and what the heck is DAC? *Interested but clueless*
UPDATE: Variety report that this will be a downloadable game available via Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network.

New trailer!
Paramount have released a new trailer for the new Star Trek movie. You can go and watch it in all sorts of sizes on Apple's website (link). And here are some stills of new exciting stuff:
New movie novelization cover and blurb
TrekMovie.com have released the cover and blurb for the novelization of the new movie. It looks like this:
And sounds like this:
One grew up in the cornfields of Iowa, fighting for his independence, for a way out of a life that promised only indifference, aimlessness, and obscurity
The other grew up on the jagged cliffs of the harsh Vulcan desert, fighting for acceptance, for a way to reconcile the logic he was taught with the emotions he felt.
In the far reaches of the galaxy, a machine of war bursts into existence in a place and time it was never meant to be. On a mission of retribution of the destruction of his planet, its half-mad captain seeks the death of every intelligent being, and the annihilation of every civilized world.
Kirk and Spock, two completely different and unyielding personalities, must find a way to lead the only crew, aboard the only ship, that can stop him.

Countdown continuation/prequel?
TrekMovie.com have posted an interview with the writers of the Countdown miniseries which revealed some nice new news; While Countdown is mainly Nero's story the writers are already in talks about continuing stories in this period, including some exploration of Data's resurrection and the moral dilemma of his overwriting B-4.
The interview also cleared up the debate about the chronological placement of the series, it is set per the given stardate, not in the early 25th century as some have extrapolated from Spock's comments on living on Romulus.
The interview also talks about the development of the series and how it leads into the film. Read the full report, here.

Trek tat
If you like miscellaneous Star Trek stuff TrekMovie have been reporting on the many Trek branded things coming soon, in brief:
TrekMovie have high res images of the Funko Wacky-wobblers and QUOGS urban vinyl figures, including packaging shots. TrekMovie also report Funko will be releasing smaller scale wobbly headed figures called Nodniks, in two packs, starting with Kirk and a Gorn and Spock and a Klingon.
Elsewhere in the toys and games world TrekMovie have new imagery of Mattel's Scene It? and 20Q Star Trek games.
In general nick-knackery a company called Vandor is releasing all manner of metal Star Trek things, including tin boxes, lunchboxes, signs, magnets, business card holders and a tin box with a set of playing cards inside!
If you feel your life still isn’t sufficiently infused with star Trek you could also decorate your house with massive Star Trek stickers from RoomMates, who will be producing huge wall morals of the Enterprise bridge and sets of smaller sticks for general decoration.
And finally you can even make yourself smell Star Trek with TrekMovie's reveal of the packing of the forthcoming Star Trek perfumes, you could smell of Tiberius, Red Shirt or Ponn Farr!
