Discovery 3x06 Scavengers previews, plus Barzan behind the scenes, cool Federation HQ poster, and a touching Saru personal log

This week's new episode of Discovery is Scavengers. As usual CBS have released lots of promo for the episode, even more images and clips than normal in fact. Continue below to check out all those, plus lots of behind the scenes from last week's episode, including a close look at the Barzan make-up, Saru's log entry, and a cool Federation Headquarters poster.

Here's the blurb and trailer for the new episode (trailer also up on StarTrek.com if you prefer):

After receiving a message from Book, Burnham and Georgiou embark on a rogue mission to find him, leaving Saru to pick up the pieces with Admiral Vance. Meanwhile, Stamets forms an unexpected bond with Adira.

There's a bumper load of stills for this episode. This first batch looks at the crew dealing with the future Starfleet people, including them donning new combadges, and the bridge consoles getting an upgrade:

There's lots focusing on Adira and Grey, Stamets and Culber:

A moment for Tilly and Grudge:

And it seems the actual scavenging might be down to Georgiou and Burnham:

CBS have also released several advance clips, via io9 (featuring Georgiou) and TV Line (with Tilly and Grudge), plus the usual clip at the end of last week's episode of The Ready Room. The episode otherwise features a fun chat with actor Rachael Ancheril (Nhan), and a separate interview with visual effects supervisor Jason Zimmerman, plus featurettes on the new vision for the Federation. (You can also watch the episode on StarTrek.com, YouTube, or Facebook if you prefer to Instagram below)

There's a wealth of other behind the scenes bits for last week's episode, including these official behind the scenes photos via CBS:

Director Maja Vrvilo shared this nice moment of relaxation on the bridge set:

And actor Rachael Ancheril shared this look at her part-way into character as Nhan - Hopefully not for the last time!

The other Barzans in the episode have also shared loads of photos from their time on set. Here's the whole family, via the unnamed mum, played by Ana Sani. She also shared several other photos showing off her look, and a nice video of her being transformed:

Jake Epstein also gave us a closer look at Dr Attis:

And one of the daughters, played by Shazdeh Kapadia, shared this moment with her new on-screen sibling Ava McKinnon:

Maja Vrvilo also shared several other photos of time spent working with the daughters, including them in crystasis:

And also from Vrvilo, in reply to a TrekCore tweet, here's a nice video showing how the Starfleet Headquarters was created using the set formerly known as the USS/ISS Shenzhou and Section 31 ship bridges:

Stepping back to the start of the season, the VFX team also shared this video showing looking at Molly:

CBS's social media team have also been continuing their enjoyable efforts to expand on each episode. Here's their latest poster, showing off the Federation Headquarters, and giving us a clearer view of some of the new ships, most notably the USS Voyager-J:

There's also the latest in the social media logs, which this week has Saru reflecting on Kaminar joining the Federation, one of the sweetest log entries so far:

Finally there's the usual assortment of post-release images for last week's episode, plus some clips:

Alongside with previous seasons, the series can be found on CBS All Access(ad) in the US, and Bell Media services in Canada, and Netflix in almost all of the rest of the world (barring a few countries where Netflix doesn't work).
