Non-Fiction previews: TOS: A Celebration, latest Designing Starships and Shipyards book, and The Star Trek Book

A gaggle of new preview for forthcoming Star Trek non-fiction books have recently been released, including pages from Eaglemoss' latest volumes in the A Celebration, Designing Starships, and Shipyards series, a DK's revised edition of The Star Trek Book. Continue below to check them all out.

First up from Eaglemoss: Hero Collector and their published Penguin Random House, we have Star Trek: A Celebration(ad), a retrospective look behind the scenes on The Original Series in the same format as last year's Voyager: A Celebration(ad). Put together by Ben Robinson and Ian Spelling, and due out in September. Here's how they're pitching it:
Celebrate the 55th anniversary of Star Trek: The Original Series with this epic coffee-table book! New interviews, archival conversations, never-before-seen art and sketches, and more!

Gene Roddenberry’s “Wagon Train to the Stars” continues to live long and prosper, with Discovery, Lower Decks, and Picard currently on the air, and Strange New Worlds on the way. But it all began 55 years ago with Star Trek: The Original Series. The second installment in Hero Collector’s Celebration line (following Star Trek: Voyager – A Celebration), Star Trek: The Original Series – A Celebration includes more than a dozen new interviews with cast and creatives, scores of never-before-seen photographs and sketches, as well as chapters taking fresh looks at the show’s creation, directing, visual effects, props, and most-pivotal episodes.
And here's a nice assortment of preview pages showing a good range of the content covered:

The latest in the Designing Starships(ad) series is Deep Space 9 and Beyond(ad), looking at the design process for numerous ships in a book packed full of concept art. This series is based on the behind the scenes articles from The Official Starships Collection, but books do normally include some additional material too. This is pulled together by Ben Robinson, and due out in August. Here's the blurb:
The inventive concept art behind Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’s titular space station, U.S.S. Defiant and dozens more ships comes to life on the page!

Deep Space Nine is considered by many Star Trek fans to be the best of all the Trek shows in the franchise’s illustrious 55-year history, and Star Trek Designing Starships puts the spotlight on the show’s space-faring vessels.

The fifth entry in Hero Collector’s ongoing series of Star Trek Designing Starships, Deep Space Nine and Beyond delivers original production art and extensive interviews with the award-wining artists who created the ships and helped bring them to the screen over the course of the show’s seven-year run (1993-1999) and its 176 episodes.

The preview pages very much emphasis the "beyond" section of the book:

Also based on Starships Collection content is the Shipyards(ad) series, which looks at ships from the in-universe perspective. The next book in that series is the second look at ships of the Delta Quadrant, specially this volume covers Ledosian to Zahl(ad). Given a lot of the Delta Quadrant ships have yet to made into Eaglemoss models, you can expect a lot of new content in this book, as there was in the first Delta Quadrant volume(ad). Ian Chaddock, Marcus Reily, and Mark Wright are behind this book, due in July.
Profiling more than 50 ships that  Voyager  encountered in the Delta Quadrant, this is the 2nd of two volumes that profile the ships from  STAR TREK: VOYAGER .

Featuring the  Lokirrim Warship , the  Species 8472 Bioship , and the  Vidiian Warships , and many more. Including technical overviews and operational histories, the ships are illustrated with CG artwork, created using the original VFX models made for the STAR TREK: VOYAGER TV series.

With previously unseen artwork, the two official volumes form the most comprehensive account of ships from STAR TREK: VOYAGER ever produced.

Be sure to also look for Volume 1, The Borg and Delta Quadrant: Akritirian to Krenim , which features the ships of the Borg , and includes the Borg Cube and Borg Sphere, Borg Queen's Ship , the Renegade Borg Vessel and the Borg Tactical Cube , in addition to thirty-five ships of the Delta Quadrant species.
Several preview pages have already been released for this book (see previous report), but Amazon have now put out a few more:

Finally, from DK, there's a new updated version of The Star Trek Book(ad), an intro to everything Trek from Paul J. Ruditis first published(ad) in 2016. The new edition promises content from the Treks that have come since, including Beyond, Discovery, Picard, and Short Treks. Due out in August, here's the blurb:
To boldly expand your Star Trek horizons.

Re-engage! The new edition of The Star Trek Book takes readers even further into one of the greatest science fiction universes ever created. This unique, insightful, and comprehensive examination of an enduring, much loved franchise features every era of Star Trek in one volume, from the pioneering 1960s TV series to the latest movies and streaming shows, including Star Trek: Beyond, Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, and Star Trek: Short Trek.

Written by Star Trek experts, this book is packed with stunning film and TV stills, illuminating infographics, and incisive, specially curated essays that unlock the mysteries of the ever-expandingStar Trek Universe. From new and legendary heroes such as James T. Kirk, Jean-Luc Picard, and Michael Burnham to iconic villains like Khan, Q, and the Borg, to fascinating alien species like the Vulcans, Klingons, and Ferengi, this book explores the central characters, technology, civilizations, and events that have shaped the complex, epic story of Star Trek.

Resistance is futile. This is the (star) trek of a lifetime you don't want to miss!
And you'll find another blurb on the back cover!

The preview pages show off several obviously updated sections, including content up to date with Discovery season three.

That supposed Zahl starship looks a bit different from what we've seen in the episode (and STO, by extension).

Also, is it gonna crawl on my bed and bite me tonight for saying that?

is it just me, or is the render for the Zahl ship messed up?
