Star Trek Cats, and other quirky new books

Do you like cats? And Star Trek? Then this is the book you've been waiting for! Due out in February from Chronicle Books, is Star Trek Cats, a curious new take on TOS from illustrator Jenny Parks. Amazon recently added a listing, complete with cover and blurb:

Captain's log: We have entered a galaxy where beloved illustrator Jenny Parks has conjured an astonishingly vivid homage to the original Star Trek series with an unexpected twist: a cast of cats. Featuring a hilarious new take on iconic characters and scenes—from Kirk in the Captain's chair to Spock offering his Vulcan wisdom—this eye-opening adventure stays true to the tone of the classic TV show. Playful, loving, and from a strange new world, Star Trek Cats is the perfect gift for fans of, well, Star Trek and cats.
But that's not all, continue after the jump for a look at a couple more quirky new Trek books on the way.

As previously reported, Dark Horse have two new Star Trek colouring books on the way, due out in December. One is a TOS collection, the other TNG, and now Amazon have updated their listing for the latter with a new cover:

If you prefer your art pre-coloured, then Titan Books have you covered, with The Art of Juan Ortiz - Star Trek: The Next Generation, a collection of poster prints for every episode of the series, and sequel of sorts to the previous TOS collection.

Following on from Juan Ortiz’s fabulous Original Series movie-poster collection, this latest treat for art-loving Trek fans features 178 posters that capture the essence of The Next Generation. Inspired by indie-film and black-light posters, comics and rock/punk culture and showcasing Ortiz’s unique creative vision, this new instalment of original Trek art is sure to delight fans worldwide.
Finally, from Penguin Young Readers, Brandon T. Snider follows up on this year's What Would Captain Kirk Do? with the Next Generation equivalent, What Would Captain Picard Do? The book of 24th century advice is due out in May:

Fans of of Star Trek: The Next Generation's Captain Jean Luc Picard explore a galaxy of advice in this fun pop philosophy book narrated by Captain Picard himself.

The cosmos is filled with a great many wonders—uncharted worlds, bizarre life forms, chaos, and calm. Keep your mind open as you navigate through this collection of scenarios as Captain Picard teaches you how to handle even the most challenging situations.
