Eaglemoss reveal latest starship books

New listings have revealed covers and blurbs for a couple of forthcoming starships books from Eaglemoss. Continue below for the details of those, plus some other book updates.

First up, the latest volume in the Star Trek Shipyards series will feature The Borg and Delta Quadrant ships, of course mostly from Voyager (the Borg ships should include a few from other series). This series is largely built upon the in-universe segments from the magazines from The Official Starships Collection, thought typically feature a few added entries for ships that haven't been made as a model in that series yet, plus some extra artwork. Here is a not-final cover:

The book is due out in November. Here's the blurb:
This volume of the STAR TREK SHIPYARDS series profiles the ships of the Borg and vessels of the Delta Quadrant.

Featuring craft such as the Borg Cube and Borg Sphere, the Kazon Warship, the Krenim Temporal Weapon Ship and the Hirogen Hunter, it looks at the key ships of the Delta Quadrant species known to the Federation, that are featured in STAR TREK: VOYAGER.

With technical overviews and operational histories, the ships are illustrated with CG artwork - including original VFX models made for the TV show.

Star Trek Shipyards Borg and Delta Quadrant is latest volume in the Star Trek Shipyards series - The very first series of books to collect all of the ships from Star Trek film and television shows in chronological order. Each ship profile features artwork from the original visual effects models, detailed technical specifications, service history, and annotated views of the ships features.
Eaglemoss' Ben Robinson also recently tweeted about this, making the bold claim it will include every Delta Quadrant ship, which would be quite a feat for a 160 page book; maybe they'll not all get 4-page coverage?
We have a Shipyards book for the Borg and the Delta Quadrant. EVERY ship. We've been digging through the old CG files and are rebuilding the handful of practical models in CG.

August will bring us the Deep Space Nine Illustrated Handbook. This technical manual type series is mostly built upon the content of the long out of print Star Trek Fact Files, which includes lots of great illustrations, including cutaway diagrams. This volume promises not just Deep Space 9 the station, but also the USS Defiant, and the runabouts. This cover may also not be final:

Here's the blurb:
Fourth in the series of STAR TREK ILLUSTRATED HANDBOOKS, this guide takes an in-depth look at the space station Deep Space 9 and the starship U.S.S. Defiant.

Exploring the former Cardassian space station in detail, this volume looks at Deep Space 9's history and operation under the command of Captain Benjamin Sisko of the United Federation of Planets. The chapters feature the station, the warship the U.S.S. Defiant, and the small, multi-purpose runabouts used as transport by the crew. With technical information from official sources, annotated exterior views and isometric illustrations of key locations, this handbook provides an extraordinary reference guide to 24th century Federation life on the diplomatic outpost.

Away from Eaglemoss, Titan Books have The Art of Star Trek Discovery coming in June. Authors Paula M Block and Terry J. Erdmann recently wrote an article announcing their work on it, and gave this outline:
Thus, over the past year, we’ve interviewed dozens of people who work on the show, from Discovery’s creators/producers to the incredibly talented men and women responsible for every visual aspect of Discovery: the scenic designers and the set builders; the sculptor responsible for makeup design and the prosthetic technicians responsible for transforming humans into nonhumans; the costume creators; the prop masters; the visual effects team responsible for every star, every phaser blast, and every creature that isn’t actually there; and even the design firm responsible for the series’ gorgeous opening credits. And what fun it has been!
