Discovery round-up: New character, posters, images, and behind the scenes

CBS have released eleven(!!) new character posters for Star Trek: Discovery, including revealing a new Klingon character named Voq. Continue below to check them out, plus a new released still, and some behind the scenes images:

Production artist Neville Page was also recently interviewed by TrekMovie, and had an excellent insight into the balance Star Trek creators strive for between continuity and fan demands, and creativity and pushing the envelope:
The challenge has always been trying to do what the director wants and desires and be responsible for their vision, but because it is Star Trek, you are also trying to do what you can anticipate what the fans want. It is not that they are opposing, but they are ever so slightly different. The fans often want what they know so well and a director’s job and a producer’s job is to try and take it to the next level and evolve it a bit.

Star Trek: Discovery is due to start this September, and it will be distributed almost everywhere in the world on Netflix, except for the US where is will be available on CBS All Access, and Canada where it will be on Bell Media channels and services.
