The ship looks broken. I don't think it's a perspective issue - let's hope it's a build fault. If not it's either a radical re-modelling job (and who's got the time for that these days?) or accept yet another commercial botch-up of an already botched icon. So sad to see an opportunity to achieve something lasting and wonderful missed.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04232485665186087847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-734769081735169113.post-5631272936143929602013-04-19T03:39:34.091+01:002013-04-19T03:39:34.091+01:00The newest box images say that the kit is 588mm...The newest box images say that the kit is 588mm's in length which would put the model at just a bit over 23 inches long. That is still a really good size model kit. That would make it much larger than the 2009 Playmates toy or the Diamond Select ships out on the market.
What bums me out though is that you'll need to paint and glue this then decal. I've never been good at that. Though I'm sure the real kit will still look nice :)8of5https://www.blogger.com/profile/16702128515118267859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-734769081735169113.post-82171644317735532862013-01-05T21:04:13.168+00:002013-01-05T21:04:13.168+00:00Hmmm???? At 1/500 scale the model
would be 5.4 feet based on the Enterprise being 2700 ft long if they are going by what Abrams put in the blu-ray supplemental material. Now if
if they meant 1/1500 scale it would be 21.6 inches sounds very reasonable. OR if it 1/500 based on the origianal scale with the newest Enterprise being 1200 ft then it would 28.8 inches still unusually large for say a 30 to 50 dollar kit. Oh well just wondering and rqanting. Can's wait to buy it especially if that is a picture of the actual cause do be looks GREAT!!!
